Unloading Air Freight by Hand

At Express Container Management, we've had the opportunity to learn and adapt to an array of supply chain assignments, so we thought, "Why not tell our story?"
When people hear about us for the first time, they often think what is being described to them is a general labour agency that provides temporary staff to help with jobs around the warehouse. But when clients decide to use our service, they quickly realize that we are much more than that. We hire our own employees who work for a flat rate to unload containers which means productivity sky rockets.
We also know that unloading containers can be one of the most challenging things in a warehouse operation and having the best management and training is crucial to our success in our clients' facilities.
When we say every step, we mean every step
But we're also talking about physical steps. One of our motto's is "Never touch a box twice." And since our work is almost entirely physical, we think about all the possible ways to be more efficient. Our team encourages each other to find better ways to unload containers whenever possible. This could mean keeping their pallet jacks, pallets and wrap close by to reduce time and energy walking long distances.
We understand the nightmare that it can be to track hours, completed containers and scheduled teams. It's been a mission of ours to make those processes seamless and tidy so our clients can work stress free knowing that things are taken care of. For this reason, we created the MyECM app to achieve all those things in one place.
How does the CLIENT save?
Whether the container is unloaded in two hours or four hours, the client can be sure they are being billed the same price for the job to be completed. This allows them to track their costs and are experiencing a much faster unload time, which frees up their in house team for other pressing tasks in the warehouse, like product put away or loading outbound product.
How does the TEAM MEMBER profit?
Our team is paid for each container they offload. There is a specific rate for each type of container to fairly compensate them and understand that the more they can complete, the more they will be paid. Simple as that.
This is just the beginning, we have lots more to say. Check in for logistics news, company updates and helpful tips to take your operation to a new level.
